The via ferrata du Lac de la Rosiere at Courchevel is in a lovely position over-looking the lake.? The via ferrata is ideal for children or nervous adults as the spaces between the bars is reduced.? It is never that high off the ground and has many options to “escape” if time or inclination dictate.
The first half starts by traversing out above the Lac de la Rosiere before continuing it’s traverse.? A short “monkey bridge” allows you to gain a wall opposite where you climb higher.? A descent leads to a “Nepal bridge” that spans the gap above the stream flowing out from the Lac de la Rosiere.? Arriving on the other side of the valley now a traverse leads you to a final steepening.? You exit into the woods above the lake.? Here you pick up a track that leads gently back down to the lake side.
A great place for all the family with “permanent” barbecues installed on the grassy clearings amongst the pine trees.
