Description

The first Tour du Mont Blanc was probably completed by Benedict de Saussure, the first person to climb Mont Blanc, in his search for an easy route to the summit. The Tour du Mont Blanc today remains probably the most famous alpine trek.

Our Tour du Mont Blanc starts where the TMB crosses through the Beaufortain alps to the south-east of Mont Blanc. We reach Chamonix, the world capital of alpine climbing, half way through the tour where we take a day out either to relax or do some personal sightseeing.

The footpaths thread their way through lush alpine pastures (alpages) ablaze with a magical carpet of alpine flowers with panoramic views second to none.

The complete Tour du Mont Blanc is approximately 210 km with a total height gain in the order of 12 000 m.
